one of the pairings I kind of ship has gotten so kinky people don't even warn for kink anymore and I hate it.
Seriously, you get surprise!daddy kink, surprise!breathplay, it's reached the point where people should start tagging their fics with NO KINK if there isn't any because while I don't mind a bit of kink, I don't want it all the time.

Are you talking about Eruri? I've seriously given up on that pairing because of the shippers.

And this was the pairing that touted itself as so mature and with such quality fic...
I do like the idea of the pairing, but there are very few fics I actually enjoy, and I stay FAR AWAY from the shippers.

As soon as you said daddy!kink, lol. I like the idea of the pairing too, but the shippers have made the pairing all about size difference, priest!kink, bdsm, Erwin's big cock, daddy!kink, and on and on. That's not why I ship them. :( It's like the eruri fandom became a "kink" clique for older teenagers or something, who've lost sight of who the original characters even are.
I'm pretty sure you're the same ketita that has written eruri stuff on ao3, and I'd like to say at least your stuff has been good.

I'm sick of people on my flist complaining that no one reads their fics or talks about fandom stuff when they never review my fics or respond to my posts about fandom stuff. Fandoms that we are both in. I wouldn't care, whatever floats your boat, but stop being a hypocrite.

Also, I sort of wish there were more fests that weren't just shippy OR gen. I really prefer a nice combination.

I'm, I don't know if annoyed is the right word. I'm dreading the season finale of one of my shows tomorrow. People are going in with expectations that there's no way they're going to fulfill, and I can just see the ugliness coming. Ugh. Lower your expectations people. Put them at rock bottom.

It's over now, but for the past few weeks the kink meme for one of my fandoms has been dealing with an entitled prompter who insisted that anyone filling their prompt with a crackfic was harassing/bullying them and that the mod was awful for not taking their complaint seriously. To the point where they made not one but two prompts asking for fics where the mod is raped to death with barbed wire D:

Thankfully, the mod shut it down the other day, but it was ridiculous.

tbh, that's what makes this whole "movement" so gross to me. There are so many people who supposedly advocate against bullying, but do it themselves at the slightest provocation. Somebody who truly worries about other people being hurt wouldn't be so quick to do it themselves....

Okay, we get it, you don't like a thing*. Awesome, good for you, you're allowed to dislike things. Congrats.

Now, can you please stop talking about how much you absolutely hate the thing everyt ime it comes up in conversation? Please? Learn to have a little restraint and just because you hate something doesn't mean you have a god given right to throw a tantrum everything time it shows up.

Especially in front of a friend who is talking about, hey, they sort of like a thing. Don't fucking shame them for liking something you don't. It doesn't make you "opinionated" or "passionate", it makes you an asshole.

I'm annoyed because someone's started up something this week in my fandom which is basically catering to this person's self-indulgences, and is not really popular in the fandom. I hope it fails miserably.

People who used to ship something that suddenly stop because they think it makes them look un-cool to the rest of the internet cool kids.
