(Anonymous) 2014-05-20 05:31 pm (UTC)(link)It's one thing to be neutral, or prefer other animals, or not care to be near them. But actively disliking them? Yes. That's weird. Sorry you're getting so defensive about this, and so mad about your dad's right to dislike an entire animal species.
Yes, in principle I think it is stupid to hate any animal that doesn't actively cause you harm or distress. But especially domesticated companion animals.

I'm defensive because the way I first read your comment, or whoever's comment it was if you're not OP, was that you found people who didn't like cats to be disturbing and unworthy of trust - your words, not mine - and that says a lot about someone's character. And he likes some cats (a few individuals), he just generally doesn't care for them. He doesn't hate them. Why do you keep saying different things as if they're all the same?
