My mind wanders to something similar when I'm in the woods, exploring around my local creek, exploring parks and such:

I like to imagine I'm in Hyrule...

...Complete with the urge to hold small discoveries above my head and sing Item Get music.

(Same person as above) One time, my significant other and I were in the local park, just getting fresh air on the trails and he decided to take a shortcut that he remembered years ago that apparently had changed and we got lost trying to find our way back to the main/parking area. As the sun was setting, I found a park map randomly on the ground. (Of course, by this time, we didn't actually know where we are in relation to the map... still)... At the time, I'd been playing a lot of of my 3Ds, Zelda games, which he'd given me for Christmas, so he said to my finding the map, "Wow, it's just like one of your games." We both did the "Dananana!" thing at the same time, and I think that's where that tendency of mine to "explore the lost woods" when walking in the woods came from.

That's cute!

It makes me want to set up a "dungeon" for someone in the woods or something and include hiding a map, compass, and some kind of implement to use out in the woods. Lay puzzles to solve, etc.
