I... I think this formula might be the formula for success! I have never finished a fic in one day before without agonizing over it for weeks. But then I realized I'm a near thirty-year-old with a part-time job who lives with her parents (never mind it's because mom went blind and needs help looking after and as the only sibling without a mortgage I was the sacrificial lamb)...
...I had the day off, so surely that counts as unemployed...
...and I am hella fat... (I eat ALL THE PIES)...

...I immediately sat down in front of the TV with some chicken nuggets and

LO! I FINISHED A FIC IN ONE DAY. NO HAND-WRINGING. If EVERY day was like this, I could churn out fic DAILY. I'd be a BNF IN NO TIME.
