I don't think that having a separate comm for RP secrets is equivalent to having a separate comm for every subset of secrets. I'm not really sure why, but I think that, given the response to RPG secrets, there is *something* about them that's different from other secrets that people aren't interested in. Maybe it's related to the fact that a secret about any other facet of a fandom (shipping, BNFs, characters) will be at least mildly interesting to someone in the fandom, but a secret about an RPG will only be interesting to someone in the RPG in the fandom? I don't know.
Maybe a good compromise could be to do alternating RPG/fandom secret posts?
This whole thing would make the number of secrets go down, but I've been in a situation where a community split in this way and, while posts were down for a while, everyone was happier because the people who didn't want to see the bandslash didn't have to see it, and the bandslashers didn't have to deal with people getting angry at them all the time.
