I actually like the endings to Animorphs and A Series of Unfortunate Events.

i still have so much rage over the animorphs ending
LIKE IF APPLEGATE HAD ENDED IT 50 PAGES EARLIER, I WOULD CALL IT A GOOD ENDING, BUT THEN SHE STARTED THIS NEW, POORLY PACED, COMPLETELY UNRESOLVED PLOT AND I JUST [RAGE INTENSIFIES]

My feelings exactly. Those last few pages were like a middle finger in the eye of my childhood.
