I have a lot of numbers-related learning problems :( I have trouble doing conversions.

ahhh, yes, conversions are a pain. I use Google.

But the metric system alone is much easier to use than the US system alone, since everything is in multiples of 10, so I just wish we'd switch to it and get with the rest of the world already so we wouldn't need to do those conversions, and our calculations would be much easier. (The scientific community already uses metric because of how much more sense it makes and how much easier it then is to share information across borders.)

I have trouble understanding what is so hard to understand about the metric system. It's all multiples of ten!

But then I'm a young enough Australian that I learned metric in school. (My mother was raised on imperial, but even she understands metric.)

The only place that imperial measurements are relevant to me is in people's heights, and the fact that I resorted to inches to pick a size for my silmaril headcanon (I put them at two inches in diameter) because using metric in LotR feels anachronistic.

I grew up in the States, and when I was a kid they went "yeah here's the metric system BUT WE'RE NEVER EVER GOING TO USE IT" so I never got used to it, and like I said in another comment, I have number-related learning problems, so it makes conversions between the two really really hard for me. @_@

Well I can sympathise with the conversion issues, at times I have to double-check my ruler that has inches on it to confirm (short) measurements I have thought of (including the silmaril one I mentioned before).

The only other conversion I can be sure of is that 60-63 miles per hour is around equal to 100 kilometres per hour, which is a common speed limit on Australian roads.

That's good to know! It's a fairly common speed limit in Canada, too, I think. I used to ride the bus up to visit my now-husband and I'd sit there going "HOW FAST IS THIS BUS GOING I'M CONFUSED HOW DO I NUMBERS" while trying to sit there and figure it out in my head XD

I am not a clever cupcake.
