Variety.

There's no variety when it come to pairings, it's almost always the same two or three pairings the fandom writes. And even then, the fandom only mainly writes the main ship juggernaut.

There's hardly any fic that takes place in canon. Don't get me wrong, I can and do enjoy AUs but sometimes I just want fics that are set in canon to read.

One possible solution to this is perhaps to write meta with lots of evidence from canon where situations can be further developed into fics.

That totally reminds me of a headcanon I've been mentally composing for a secondary character but just don't know of a good place to display it. I know Tumblr has been used for these things, but me joining Tumblr will happen after the Cubs win the World Series.
