I have, but I got my ass kicked so damn badly. All those bits of badass advice you'll read on the internet are worthless. All I learned is that if you think you are a badass, you probably aren't. The real badass fighters are the guys that can barely distinguish between knocking back beers and knocking out punks, they don't care either way. Both are a great way to kill time in the afternoon. You can slug them, try a fancy move, use pressure points (hah, oh god they are worthless), but none of them will work because those guys are inured to pain. Frankly even feeling pain is just a way of killing time to those guys.

If you want to be a badass, don't waste time learning krav maga or whatever, learn how to be so bored that you don't care what has happened to you and so dulled to the world that killing time is all that matters. Or better yet, don't try to be an edgy badass, I wish I hadn't.

No if you actually learn Krav Maga successfully your going to be pretty badass. In a train for years kind of learn way.

In my experience pressure points have some legit applications, but you gotta hit justtttt right and 99% of the time with a real moving target you wont so unless it's something like "punch in the throat" odds are good you'll get your ass kicked trying to find it.

Krav Maga is Hebrew for "How to punch Palestinian Grandmothers in the Face". Useless in any other circumstances though.

I used a pressure point technique in a legit fight at a party once. Guy had me pinned by the shoulders, so I could move my arms but couldn't get any leverage; you see it in MMA sometimes. So I dug my thumb real hard into the spot at the neck-shoulder junction that hurts like hell and takes all the strength out of your right arm for a couple seconds. That was enough for me to throw him off me, and from there things continued to really not go his way.

"legit fight at a party" meaning a couple of drunk kids wrassling in a totally non-homoerotic way, honest.

Go have a real fight in a bar down near the docks.

Ironically, you sound like you are trying very, very hard to prove to everyone that you are a badass.

Beat me to it. God, what a pathetic comment that was.

I got suspended for fighting when I was 7. So that sort of counts? But it wasn't a real fight - just one exchange of slaps across the face.

When I was 7 I punched out a kid who was bullying my little sister.

God I wish. I kicked a kid in the stomach, and got punched in the face on a separate occasion as a wee child, but that doesn't count. I don't see myself getting into a bout of gentlemanly fisticuffs any time soon, so maybe should actually pick up a martial art and be all proper and safe and stuff.

When I was a kid, I punched my brother in the face after he kept teasing me.

Man, that was satisfying.

I've only been in one fight as an adult, but a fuckton as a teenager and child.

I slugged a few brats as a kid...some bites and hair-pulling were exchanged. Last fight was a few years ago, and I got my ass thoroughly kicked, so I'm no badass now, though I'd like to take some basic training to learn how to hold my own better.
