I love The Walking Dead but I avoid the fandom because most of the fics I've read suck. :\

I knowwwwww. The only author whose fics I know I like are Higgystar's. Theirs are pretty good depending on what you are looking for.

I love The Walking Dead but don't think to look for fic of it. Not sure why...I guess the show itself satisfies me? Which is not something that happens often; usually if I like something I want fic, but with Walking Dead I don't feel much compelled to look. (I have a couple times in the past, but I didn't find anything I liked.)

I re-watched Political Animals a few weeks ago and ugh, that show is so good. I really wanted a season two with Elaine campaigning and T.J. trying to stay clean. I'm just going to head-canon that Elaine eventually became president, T.J. turned his life around and somehow became a concert pianist, and he met some sweet guy that looks suspiciously like Chris Evans and the two were happy together until the end of time.

He met Steve Rogers and they lived happily ever after. This is my head canon and no one will convince me otherwise.

I'm the same way with TWD. The show itself is satisfying and I don't need to search for fic that explores things outside of the show's canon.

I know TWD gets some flack but honestly, I enjoy it more than a lot of other shows I watch. And I feel like (on a whole, I wasn't overtly fond of this last season) the show is very solid and it just doesn't seem to leave much to the imagination, with me. If I was going to want anything it would probably be fluffy gen with Michonne and Carl playing board games or something, or straight up porn between one of my ships, but tbh even that I can do without.
