2. Characters making business deals in night clubs.
3. Using liquor to display power rankings (with whiskey doubles denoting the most powerful characters in an environment)
4. Having major events occur near/in fountains.
5. Using autumn as the timeframe for stories with a happy ending (or at least part of it, most often the beginning) and selecting springtime if the story will end horribly for the characters.
