The point of Troll romance is that trolls and humans are different.

Trolls consider all 4 quadrants to be romantic. Humans, only matespritism (the heart).

Leprechaun romance is an even more absurd expansion of the concept - so ridiculous he never even finished expanding upon it. One troll considers it OMG-The-Greatest-Thing which is probably a joke about how much of the readership responded to troll romance. (Which I think is cool, but trying to apply it to humans is, by definition, doomed to fail, since humans aren't trolls.)
