EVERYONE GETS DEPRESSION. EVERYONE

You "woke up on the wrong side of the bed"? You have depression!

You're a bit down? You have depression!

Any time you have a period of negative feelings, sadness, etc, your have depression!

The difference is some people need medication because they have a biological problem that makes them depressed more often than most people. That's clinical depression.

Normal depression does not need medication, but it still happens.

(My mother had this argument with my father, who happens to react badly to the suggestion he has any sort of psychiatric condition - especially after having one wife (Mum) with bipolar, and another with schizophrenia.)
