Me too!

I think a lot of writers nowadays try to avoid "good" or "nice" characters, because they think it will be boring. But in the right hands, it's not boring at all.

My favourite "good" characters are the ones who are determined to do the right thing, even against impossible odds and great tragedy. Maybe they face the temptation to "become the monster", but they resist it. There's so many shitty people in this world, and it inspires me to see the characters in stories fight against that, even if don't always win.

What was that quote C.S. Lewis said? About how stories show that dragons can be beaten? Yeah. That.
