Godzilla: Starring: Title Character Not Appearing In This Movie

Everyone else seems to be going mad for it, despite them all saying the human characters are dull as ditchwater, being little more that a recruitment video for the US Military, and of course Godzilla only showing up for a couple of pre closing-credit scenes.

I just can't work up the excitement for that. Also JJ Abrams Star Warstrek, and the Godzilla guy's spaceshipless standalone Star Wars movie.

I am mildly excited for Transformers: Finally Dinobots, but I'm sure I'll read or hear something discouraging about that soon enough.

Re: Transformers, the preview made it look really cool...until it went all Michael Bay in the last thirty seconds. If you're in it for robot fighting and explosions, it might be up your alley, but I'm willing to bet the plot falls by the wayside like in the rest of those movies.

Why would I need a "plot" in a movie about giant robot dinosaurs fucking each other up? Not every movie has to have some searing insight into the human condition, sometimes you just want to see a robot punch another robot in the face (or a giant lizard stomp on a city).
