But if you look at pretty much every single mass shooter in the past, they've had the exact same pattern of blaming everything that was wrong in their life (or that they believed was wrong) on someone else. It wasn't THEIR fault that their life wasn't going the way they wanted it to, it was someone else's.

In that sense, it's really no different than things like Columbine. He just happened to put the blame for his unhappiness on women as opposed to classmates or coworkers or whatever.

Maybe I just hang around 4chan too much, but I've seen his line of thinking from other people there. A staggering amount of people. Hell, he was part of a site that basically egged him on/is praising him as a hero for what he did. Things like that, that culture, it doesn't exist in a vacuum.
