Don't worry, OP. I read the (currently 54) comments, and I understand what you mean about everything (the sentence structure, the plot lines, all that). I saw people talking about the show and about re-watching every episode in one sitting, so I was, as TBFP would say "over-hyped", but found the actual show to be not all that engaging.

Still, there were some episodes where a character would say something shockingly profound (Pinkie Pie's comment about Gilda) and an episode or two that I'm not ashamed to admit I took a few lessons from.

If you want to try getting through a few episodes, I suggest looking through Wikipedia's episode descriptions to see if any sound moderately interesting (I linked to the S1 descriptions; you can find the rest at the end of the page). You can find them all on youtube. Good luck to you and don't let the anon-cowards get you down. Everyone's brave enough to name-call when they don't have to imagine that there's an actual human with emotions and feelings behind the screen.

(P.S. I recommend the episode "The Super Speedy Cider Squeezy 6000" because of the catchy song which is a sort of homage to "Ya Got Trouble" from The Music Man)
