Then it wasn't Guards! Guards!, it was his first book, The Colour of Magic, sorry, I know it's dumb to get those confused, but I haven't read either for a long time. ^^;

Are you talking about the fact that everyone in the regiment was a girl? Because yeah, that did make me "eh?" a little bit. Like, I can see it happening on Discworld, since there are long odds that the regiment would end up as all women, just by chance, and the Disc loves it narritivium, but at the same time, it was a little off to me. Not super off- I liked the book, but just a little, you know?

It was something that should have been a side joke in another book rather than a book all on its own.

I respectfully disagree, though I do agree that at times it did break my willing suspension of disbelief.
