(Anonymous) 2014-05-28 12:21 am (UTC)(link)If you fry them fresh over really high heat, the smallest bones become chewy-ish, and the big ones are easily enough dealt with by dragging your teeth from the tail to the front, vacuuming the meat off the bones as you go, leaving the (mostly) intact skeleton behind. This does involve very bad table manners, but that's the trade-off.
....I eat a lot of fish, okay.
