Exactly. (Which sometimes makes browsing for fic very confusing. I see 'E', think it's gen and if I don't look at the tags am struck by surprise porn. Which I don't typically mind, but...still.)

Well, it IS nice to know what you're going to read. :P

I usually assume M = mature = explicit. Are they different ratings on Ao3? Or is M not a rating? I don't really remember...
