Re: Epic Star Trek reboot fic rant

That fic is so fucking long that I don't think I even noticed the problems you had with it. If I reread it I probably would. It was one of the first AU fics I read and liked(and one of the longest fics I've ever read), so it holds a special place on my heart despite the flaws. Plus, it's really good and fun.

Well, I read it all in two days so that's probably a part of why I noticed these things. What I really liked about it is that it's an AU that actually makes sense in terms of the world of Star Trek and also kind of fixes the reboot, in that it emphasises the utopian ideals that Star Trek is based on (all life is worth saving kind of thing) as opposed to the bombastic Hollywood blockbuster approach of JJ Abrams. And it was definitely a rollicking good ride of a fic.

But god did those little things really bug me as I was reading it, ha.
