The point being that fantasy is a genre where things happen that make no sense, and in life, things happen that make no sense, so fantasy is more sensible than fiction that tries to make sense?

I dunno. This secret reads like a translated excerpt from an interview with a Japanese surrealist.

The thing is, that's a totally legitimate interpretation of the secret, but it only makes sense if a crab actually was dropped on OP's head IRL. Which is very odd. And even if it did happen, that still doesn't explain the wording of the first paragraph which is bizarre.

But it's a pretty fantastic kind of weird & if people want to submit secrets that are actually surrealist ultra-short stories I'm totally OK with that.

I had no problem understanding this secret so possibly a crab fell on my head as well.

Some crabs do live in or climb trees! Though I don't know how common it is for them to drop...
