If you're walking down the street than you have every right to cross it if you are feeling uncomfortable. Crossing the street=/=giving someone a job

Hiring a person means I'd have to work with him everyday, so if my personal reasons of feeling uncomfortable justify me avoiding him, I must be justified in not hiring him... supposedly.

Honestly, does anyone actually think this issue boils down to, "Am I wrong to cross the street if I feel uncomfortable?" Don't you think the juxtaposition of "crossing the street" and "institutionalized financial inequality" is kind of ridiculous? Basically, "it's okay if it's personal" is a gross simplification that would only work if we were, in fact, just talking about crossing the street and assumed that no other life situation could possibly create similar feelings of discomfort.
