(Anonymous) 2014-05-30 01:38 am (UTC)(link)Honestly, I was always neutral about Jonas. I didn't hate him like some sections of the Daniel-loving fandom did, but I never got attached to him either. He was just there. And he was nice, and I liked him, but I missed Daniel's snarkiness. And honestly, it put me off a bit that it seemed like the sections of the fandom that loved him seemed to love him mainly because he was not!Daniel. It probably wouldn't have mattered who he was. He wasn't Daniel/Michael Shanks and therefore he was awesome. But then on the other side you had the group that absolutely despised him just because he wasn't Daniel, and that was pretty ugly too. Not one of the better times to be in the fandom. :(
