Is there somewhere where it's common to be struck by crabs?

(Anonymous) 2014-05-30 03:24 am (UTC)(link)
Is it Australia? Do they rain from the sky? Like, from water spouts? What kind of crabs? Hopefully, small ones. Are they alive? And what do crabs have to do with fantasy as a genre? Would you feel the same if you had been struck by other types of crustaceans?

So many questions.

nayrt, but is it really unusual? I've lived a comfortable walking distance to at least one tailor the past 3 places I've lived (granted, I only ever used one's services maybe twice)...

well if sharks can fall from the sky during sharknado season, I don't see why crabs aren't possible.

I've never experienced that, but then I don't go to beaches much, and have not seen a waterspout. I have seen crabs on beaches, but they were on the ground and I was a kid and was trying not to be on the ground with them.

On the other hand, Australia does have field fires, if you're in sugar cane areas.

I'm wondering if they live somewhere with crabs that climb trees (some do, for protection, and also occasionally eat insects or fruit there; e.g. coconut crabs, mangrove crabs). Don't know if it's common for them to drop, though...
