What I don't get is why bother to do a review if you're not going to look at the whole series, part and parcel. (Like for example, Linkara's 'History of Power Rangers'. While I have my grievances with that -beginning with him not wanting to even mention the Sentai/source material side of things-, at least he sits down and watches an entire season before making a judgment call) Watching the first episode or two, and then half-assing knowledge based on hearsay and Wikipedia summaries does *not* cut the mustard. I get that with Sailor Moon, 200-odd episodes is a lot to take in, but it's still no excuse. Either do the research, or don't do a "review" at all, imho.

Besides, he's said himself time and again he's not really a fan of anime (hence why he rarely ever did anime reviews), so... why did he even bother with Sailor Moon again? Ughhh.

I thought it was because people had been bugging him about it, even though anime isn't his "thing", so he did one to get people to stop asking?

Yeah, but on the other hand there's always the option of just doing a review the first season.

That's what I thought! For long running anime you have to at least watch 10 episodes to get a good feel for the show.

he could have easily reviewed the first season dic dubbed. it's what, 45-50 episodes long? it's the one people are probably the most nostalgic for, before i think it jumped to cable TV for the later seasons.

it's a goofy, terrible show that sure, is sometimes tainted by the old nostalgia goggles... but the source material is one of my favorite stories ever, and it was just such a huge let-down that he just clearly didn't give a shit. i mean, well, he gave enough of a shit to bother to make and edit the video, but like, not enough to even bother just finishing season 1. or even just up to the introductions of all the scouts and the first big battle with all of them.
