He lost a lot of fans when he did that cringe worthy Demo Reel. He's only doing Nostalgia Critic again because he doesn't want to get a real job, and thinks he can survive on reviews alone. That boat sailed yearsssss ago. It's just not as popular as it used to be, and you can see a lot of the reviewers actually making the videos their second job/or begging for donations.

pretty much. i know people who've tried monetising their stuff on youtube and blip and what you get is an utter pittance.

still, it's valuable experience - you can always go into media. nostalgia chick, iirc, went to work on editing episodes of the TV show for the Pokémon Company.
