I'm this shape and would never cosplay these characters, because I want to cosplay characters I am passionate enough about to think of cosplaying them in the first place.

'Not enough' always seems like "I'm finished fapping to these and I need more fuel."

Yeah it's seems Hippy women only come second to Hourglasses with female character design.

I think Chel was the first cartoon lady whose hips I really noticed. Dreamworks always did like to be a bit more risqué than Disney in that aspect.

in that case the representation isnt really representation, it's service for the male gaze. the point people make when they "whine" is that proper representation of women, ie. with a variety of body types, races and ethnicities, facial features, etc., is hard to come by, even today. your body type doesnt deserve more representation than any others. it's not a contest. the bottom line is that women need more varied representation. your body, their bodies, other bodies. you sound like a baby.

Complaining there aren't enough big thigh/butt representation is like complaining there isn't enough big boob representation, to me. There's plenty of both, it's just always paired with waists about the same width as the character's neck to make the extra size everywhere else "acceptable". I hate drastically overexaggerated body shapes, it makes me twitch. Especially every single one of the Paranorman designs.

But these are presented as desirable characters. Plenty of these characters exist, but rarely are they portrayed as attractive, desirable, or mainstream. Elastigirl is fantastic and badass, but she's portrayed primarily as a wife and mother. Give me a heavier girl (I don't care WHERE she's heavy, I just want her to look like women I actually SEE) who runs fast, feels feelings, and gets the guy/girl/human of her choice.

i really agree with this... but tbh, it's almost always "big butt and thighs, but supremely skinny waist". i've never actually come across somebody who had those kind of proportions? I know people who, like me, have big butt and thighs, but are also thick around the middle, not shrunken in at the waist. maybe it's just me.
