I hate the current trend of my fandom that somehow all fics deserve the same recognition or otherwise you're an elitist scum. NO OF COURSE NOT. I read fics that I enjoy because the writers have earned it, because I enjoy their style or their stories, not because I have an obligation to read all the works from my fandom.

Where the fuck did people get the idea fandom is a democracy?

No one will convince me people writing angry tumblr posts about wanting to be read and "be noticed" by the fandom are done out of insecurity and desperation. Ugh.
