Get eye drops. The preservative free single use kind. Keep your contacts out for as long as it takes the eye to heal. Put drops in like 5-6 times a day to keep your eye good and lubricated and comfy.

If it's really bad go to the doctor because yes, you could have scratched your eye and would want to get that looked at. It should heal on it's own, but if possible it's always best to get the doc to take a look.

Tip for the future (if you continue with the contacts) always carry your glasses or a spare pair of contacts with you, and a contact case and solution - or put them at your desk at work or something. Because if your eyes are bothering you you should take the contacts out asap. Obvs that wasn't an option this time, but just in case for the future.
