A/B/O or anything where a whole group of people are automatically submissive or subservient and it is inherent and not just a sexual preference.

Woobifying villains at the expense of heroes. Making villains more complex, yes. Believably having them change in a way that takes time and makes sense, yes. Writing it so they were really good all along and the heroes were evil, no.

Rape is love or anything where there are clearly consent issues but the author doesn't recognize them. Oh, and arousal equals consent. That is the worst. No is no even if they are turned on.

Agree in general about A/B/O fics. However I do love it when an author takes ABO and writes a really interesting story that turns the trope on its head.

That's true. I've read a few with a dominant Omega or where the politics of what an A/B/O world would actually be like are explored. I did enjoy those.

It's funny to me that you should say all if that given that you're a Jaime x Cersei shipper. That particular fandom commits nearly all of those crimes.

Well, I'm not a shipper in the sense of finding them healthy or romantic. I like how messed up their relationship is. And I only read the fics that clearly portray exactly how messed up their relationship is. I don't read the ones that portray it as romantic.

And, apart from that one really badly written scene this season, their relationship is consensual. Messed up, yes. But completely consensual.

For the books at least, that is true.

For the second one, are you referring to alignment swap AU fic too, or just the trend of people deciding that Sir Whatshisdick McEvilpants is the hero of the actual canon, and anyone who opposes him is an evil usurper?

Because the latter drives me up the wall too, but I do love a good alignment swap.
