To Express Fandom in Food

(Anonymous) 2014-06-01 06:04 am (UTC)(link)
I saw this and was baffled. I figure it must not be any one of my fandoms.

I can't recall off the top of my head any candy or food representing any particular fic I've read, but I got to thinking, if my fandoms, themselves, were represented like this secret, let's see...

One of them would be a picture of a vanilla ice-cream cone dropped on the floor. (It's a popular meme in the fandom).

One might be represented by red-hot spicy curry...

A very minor one I've written a few fics for and stay on the margins of would have a picture of lamb and plum stew, possibly accompanied by bread.

A former fandom would be represented by a box of donuts, possibly sitting next to a bottle of beer or whiskey.

And my major / main fandom, for which I've done the most fan work would have the bestest food-picture of all: A glass bottle of milk and the (cartoon) hearts of my enemies.

Alright, now I leave it to other f!s readers to guess my fandoms.

Nope, try again. It's a videogame.

This is a fun game.

Your Very minor fandom is my major fandom currently and is the Hunger Games.

The others I suspect are for fandoms I am not a part of and thus would miss the connection.

Yep. Hunger Games stuff is pretty obvious.

Actually, it's anime that it seems most of anime fandom has forgotten about in this day and age.

With that additional hint, my guess is going to be Trigun.

Since we already have a new set of secrets up and people will likely stop checking this... I'll reveal the answers to my "guess my fandom by its favorite foods" game"

Ice-cream on the floor: Kid Icarus / Uprising. There's an in-game joke about health-restoring food during the dungeon crawls. To quote its protagonist, Pit, "Floor-ice cream gives you health!"

Spicy curry - this is possibly the best known random food item from Super Smash Brothers. I love it. It makes your character spit fireballs and dance around in pain as you fight.

Lamb and plumb stew with bread - is of course from The Hunger Games.

Donuts and booze are the favorite foods of Vash the Stampede from Trigun.

Last, but not least...

Milk and the hearts of his enemies are enjoyed by Link in the Legend of Zelda games. (In some of his games, he enjoys pumpkin soup... but milk and hearts are really the go-to Zelda foods).
