Mostly whether Cedar Wood actually qualifies as a POC because she's made of wood, and how if she does become a "real girl" Mattel is totally going to turn her white. Because all the real girls are while, even though there are POC back ground characters.

One person on there had a shittastic, anonymous, racist troll going at them in their ask box.

It's just kind of become a clusterfuck over about the past two days.

There is also the debate where Briar Beauty may or may not be POC.

Wow...

Why can't people live and let live with their headcanons and perceptions about characters? If you (general you) want to parse a character as a certain race (or gender or sexuality) more power to you because there's nothing wrong with that. But it gets out of hand and causes massive wank and harassment and downright abuse in fandom when people can't accept that someone sees a character differently from their own headcanon.

If a white person sees a character as white, so what? If a black person sees a character as black, so what? Same goes for every other race and gender and sexuality out there. The characters can be whatever you want to be, just don't harass people who don't see it the same way you do. The internet is big enough for all headcanons.
