Keep him, get him neutered (no reason to keep him intact unless he's being bred, and deliberately breeding is goddamn awful considering how packed the shelters are), please don't take him to the RSPCA, if you HAVE to take him to a shelter, make sure it's no-kill, and keep him the FUCK away from the friend's brother.

Staffies are absolutely lovely, affectionate, and friendly, but they're also really commonly abused to be used in dog fights (and the fact that your brother's friend doesn't want him neutered is also a bad sign, since neutered dogs are calmer and if you want an attack dog, that's not a desirable trait). Plus, honestly, after caring for him for six months (and while he's still a baby), he'll be incredibly attached to you.

Yeah, I think you did just get a dog. Take care of him, okay?
