I agree but I think you've accidentally posted an unrelated picture??? Probably would have worked better if you had found an example of some books with actual good covers

I don't like a lot of the books from that collection, thank you. That said, my Narnia compilation is GORGEOUS but the other ones I see there are sometimes not so great.

My other issue with them is that a lot of them seem to be really, really poor in terms of quality and construction. Really thin paper, shoddy binding, etc. It gives me the impression that whoever was designing the books decided they could just skimp on the actual quality of the books as long as they looked pretty, and I just don't like that (in addition to the fact that I don't think a lot of them actually look pretty).

Good to hear you like your Narnia ones though.

yeah, I was skimming through a friend's once (was it Dickens?) and I about tore the page and ended up with a wicked paper cut! the quality of the materials has really gone down since the collection has been out - I know the prices dropped significantly, too. my narnia was over $50 and now they're like $10-20 it seems.
