What really gets me the most is when the people writing or reading the fluffy romance don't even seem to realize that it is fluffy romance, and thinks that it is in fact The Way The Show/Movie/Book Is Supposed To Be.

This is the perfect way to describe it. It's so damn lazy.

That always leaves me completely confused. I can think of maybe two pairings where fluffy romance is in-character. That's it. Two pairings out of the dozens I've slashed in twenty years. *headdesk* It makes me want to gnash my teeth.
