Re: How do you exercise?

I'd recommend looking for "bodyweight movement" exercise routines. A lot of them might involve pull ups, but generally anything else is doable with at most a chair. Yoga is another good one that doesn't really involve much equipment (and a stack of books works *really well* as a yoga block. I speak from experience.)

I started exercising with running outside, and then had a roommate who had weights and a pull-up bar, so I'm not as up on things that don't involve at least basic equipment.

If you're interested in strength increase, I do recommend getting at least an over-the-door pull up bar and some exercise bands at some point. just having that can vastly increase the amount of movements you can do, and it's relatively inexpensive.

Also, DDR!

I realize this is definitely a case of equipment, but it's all indoors and can be really fun. For a while I was exercising at home via DDR and a hard pad. Once you get up to a decent skill level, going through the high-bpm songs makes for an excellent interval workout.
