I think I went the opposite way on one.

I started watching Torchwood when it first was airing on BBCAmerica and shipped Jack/Gwen in the early eps (don't judge me), as it seemed like that was the direction the show was going (because that's usually how American shows go with the lead male/lead female). Then along the way I watched Cyberwoman, and slowly started shipping Jack with Ianto and thought Gwen's relationship with Rhys was cute and sweet (though I do wish she had owned up to the cheating with Owen without retcon), and now, I kind of like Jack and Gwen as a very strong platonic relationship, but I don't think I'd ever ever want to see them get together in any kind of romantic way. I don't think it would be either at them at this point.
