Jfc, dude. You are taking fandom WAY to seriously.

And, what the fuck are you on about anyway? The Star Trek fandom is fucking huge and varied. There are plenty of people to discuss things with that aren't "fangirls." I used to discuss DS9 on the AV Club. I used to be an active member of a Facebook group made up of a lot of different types of fans, most of them older.

Probably. I follow mostly f!s people and people that are more mature. A couple people on my dash turned 21 a couple weeks ago and I was surprised they were that young. OP needs to find the more mature fandom, sounds like, because even on Tumblr I have conversations with young people who aren't "fangirls." (Nothing wrong with fangirls, but I get wanting to have discussions that aren't just squeeing.)
