Are YOU proud of every single thing you've made or done?

Because hell, I can't read my own fics older than a few years. Pretty much anything I wrote before college makes me embarrassed, and I get a weird happy-cringe feeling when I get a review on those fics. That said, I have moved past the stage where I take down old fics I'm embarrassed by (I wrote plenty of fanfic in middle school but none of it exists anymore).

We all have stuff we're embarrassed by. At least they're honest that they are embarrassed by a lot of their previous movies (and to be fair, a lot of them are quite embarrassing to even watch, let alone have acted in). As many others have asked on this thread, would you prefer that they try to convince everyone those movies were awesome works of cinematography? We'd all call bullshit on that in a heartbeat and you know it.

I am actually proud of everything I finished, provided that I actually finished it. Because that's hard. I recently found the notebook in which I wrote my first novel when I was 16 and I was smiling the whole time I read it while going "this is so terrible and wonderful :D"

Yeah. I see being embarrassed by your earlier output as a perfectly wonderful expression of how you're demonstrable better at your art.

No. I get so embarrassed when I look at my fanart. I still like making stuff and I still love my goofy fangirl ideas. But I get so embarrassed that I won't look at it for months!
