When I first got into them (up to Goblet of Fire) I was working overseas and didn't really interact with the fandom. Then I got back and for the last three books it was FANDOM and MOVIES all the time. I wish I could just go through them again in the overseas bubble I had before! ;p

Ah same. Okay I wasn't overseas in a bubble, but read the books on my own through GOF as well and have always wondered what it would have been like to read the last three without fandom's influence/theories/movie stuff, etc. (Though I've always loved my little corner of fandom. Fortunately, for the most part, I managed to stay away from the truly crazy parts.)
