Just so you have at least one comment saying this: I agree with you, OP, and it sucks. The social climbers and the star fuckers who help them on their way ruin fandom in a lot of ways. They make it into a competition instead of something fun.

Fandom runs on LOVE? lmfao. Love for what? The fandomers who BNFs won't speak to because they aren't good enough? The fans who do nothing but talk about how awful the source material is?
