Don't know this kid (apart from smoking weed ~scandal~).

Yeah, people are blowing it out of propotions - he's a vary young popstar who probably did worse things than weed (well, that's a narrow view but usually young people and fame don't match - too much stress).

Still, what he said was arseholish and is not excusable. But, he still might learn.

That's not what is happening over at ONTD. The media in general is fixed on him smoking weed. ONTD is calling him out for using n-word slang casually.

SA. I'd call him out for the second more as well ;) . Plenty of people can get high or drunk and not do or say anything shitty. Last time I smoke weed it went pretty down-hill as co-worker's boyfriend started to explain how he can use slurs without being racist and patronising another-coworker (he was white, she was black). Patronised co-worker quit, boyfriend got kicked in the arse.
