Kid used a slur. I don't really care if he's overall racist or not. He shouldn't have done that and he should avoid doing it in the future. The end. Let's move on.

I really wish people would focus on behavior rather than deciding whether or not someone is "totally (not) racist!"

Yeah, people are blowing it out of propotions - he's a vary young popstar who probably did worse things than weed (well, that's a narrow view but usually young people and fame don't match - too much stress).

Still, what he said was arseholish and is not excusable. But, he still might learn.
