Don't even get me started on the Winter Soldier. His single-minded need to complete his mission and his superior skills were both terrifying and stupidly sexy. (I mean...heartbreaking as well, but still sexy.)

And Rumlow was an asshole, but he was a competent asshole. He was definitely good at his job and a force to be reckoned with.

A lot of what the Winter Soldier did was simultaneous sexy and tragic and/or terrifying. There was a whole group of people flailing after seeing the movie about how the way he snapped at the bite block made them simultaneously disturbed and turned on. Personally, I was too busy being horrified, but I can sort of see where they're coming from.

oh, a total asshole. His monologue was cheesy as hell. Still would never, ever want to meet him in a dark alley. Or anywhere, really…

and the fact that he is going to be Crossbones scares the everloving shit out of me, for reasons semi-related to his competence and semi-related to the character himself. (…think I've said that to you in the past)

I think I was too busy being horrified as well, but now next time I watch I'm going to be paying extra attention to that scene...and probably feeling it as well. The entire existence of Winter Soldier is sexy and terrifyingly tragic though. Like...dat murder strut, but it's so sad. Thanks Marvel for making me feel like a horrible person for finding Bucky sexy like this.

I know what happens with Crossbones but I'm trying to ignore that. La de daaa

Soooo many mixed feelings about the bank scene. If it had been some kinky roleplay scenario, then shirtless, sweaty Bucky would have been insanely hot, as would have him just taking that mouth guard and the screaming and heaving chest and all. The only reason I wasn't turned on during that scene was because I was too sad about how they were actually treating Bucky. D:

And had been treating him for 70 goddamn years. :(

Yea, I feel you. In different circumstances it would've been smoking hot (unf to roleplay!), but as is...idk, it's hard to forget the context of that scene; it's too traumatic.

I love the strut. Can't find the bite block scene sexy, though, even on re-watching.

(6 times anon from below) I literally put my fingers in my ears and closed my eyes on watches subsequent to the second.

I think everyone agrees that murder strut is sexy, but bite block...yea, I don't know, if the context wasn't so disgusting and horrifying then sure, but of course that isn't the case.

I think maybe the Russos/Stan was trying for it...

Thanks Marvel for making me feel like a horrible person for finding Bucky sexy like this.

I mean, the Winter Soldier is pretty much the exact opposite of Bucky in every way (at least until he kinda broke). Bucky was sexy in the "I want to have fun with you and go out on the town" way. The Winter Soldier was sexy in the "I should stay on the far side of the planet from you. I really should. But fuck you're hot…"

Patriotic soldier vs. stone-cold killing machine; boy next door vs. deadly, dark and handsome.

I could definitely be getting overly meta, and maybe it's just that I think killing machines striding off cars with single-minded determination is hot as hell, but I could also see it as intentional.

I think it's just a case of ovaries (testes, if you're male?) not listening to reason. So our brains get to be all "…gah! Bucky?! D: D: AAAAAH! PIERCE YOU RAT-BASTARD!" while our hormones are going "WHOOHOO!"

Brubaker's Cap run takes up an entire shelf of my bookcase. I have a hard time ignoring. I don't THINK the movies will do it but I'm still terribly worried.
