(Anonymous) 2014-06-07 04:45 am (UTC)(link)If anyone was too drunk to consent willingly and eagerly, then yes it is technically rape. It sucks, but I think it's true. Once upon a time, I had someone come into the centre where I work and say that he thought he unintentionally raped someone the night before -- and was right, and the girl was distraught. Now that doesn't mean he's a horrible person, but he made a massive mistake and at least he was trying to make up for it in some way.
If all parties are eager and willing, then it's not rape. If everyone knows what's going on, and are keen to proceed, you're golden. It sucks hard if someone changes their minds the next morning, but there's a huge difference between "Yes!" and "No."
