I don't get how people stan celebrities at all.

Same. Celebs fuck up too much to stan them. Also I don't know how I'd ever feel I knew enough about them to stan for them. They're real people with lives, no matter how many pictures and interviews I watch, I may never know the real them.

Totally agreed.

Same, tbh. Idolizing someone so much is bound to lead to disappointment.

I used to stan certain celebrities, but I soon figured out the less I know the better. I'd rather watch an actor/actress or listen to a musicians work completely detached from the person behind the act.

Agreed.

*shrugs* The same way that people get obsessed with fictional characters.

Thread's over, everyone go home.

(This is pretty much my opinion exactly. Even the celebrities that are good people get inflated to a godlike status in the minds of their fans which nobody can possibly live up to.)

I stan only one-- a certain nearly-unknown celebrity because he is adorable and sweet and friendly and I fear the day he fucks up big time (he's quite young so there's plenty of time). I'm already overly attached :\

Same. I don't understand it. They're people with flaws and who might not be very nice. They're far from perfect.
