I count a violent thug, an anti-Semite, a gentleman with a large ego to the point of absurdity and Miley Cyrus among the people I recognise.
The egoist is a bit of a knob, but I won't go so far as to say scummy. And Miley? why do you regard her as scummy? What has she done?
Not meaning to sound confrontational or anything, I seriously don't, at this point, understand your scummy rateing system. Would you clarify?

Miley hasn't done anything scummy, but she's just another 20-something girl having fun. She's not particularly talented, she is just known for being a child star that is now a party girl. So why are people so obsessed with her?

It kinda reminds me of reality TV, people obsessed with shallow drama. Same goes for Justin Bieber.
