This is why I hate the demise of message boards and community blogs such as LJ.

Fandom isn't long text interactions anymore. It's obsessively hitting people over the head with things, ala tumblr.

Which means it's impossible, basically, to avoid something you don't want. For example, you COULD "Sebastian Stan" if you're in the Avengers fandom and don't want to deal with him anymore, but that means any general tWS or FA posts will disappear too. In the old days of fandom you'd simply skip over the posts were people were flailing, or head to a different community. Now everything is a lump.

Blah.

Yup. Instead of comms its users people follow for content. Everyone in my fandom has been sucked into CA:TWS. They can do what they want, but I'm bitter that nobody is producing for my fandom anymore once the movie came out.
