Not really a complaint, but I miss when Nostalgia Critic/Chick were actually, well... nostalgic. If they don't want to do it anymore, I'm totally fine with that, people shouldn't be expected to do the same thing forever - but then stop calling it that, you know? They do still occasionally do nostalgia pieces, but a lot of the time they're really not.

Coupled with the funny little emoticons, it's really just a pansy way to find out how many people agree with their veering into bullshit opinion until a hammer comes down, I find.

honestly, tumblr at its worst feels like kindergarten. every one parrots what they heard from a friend of a friend without checking the facts, you're constantly being talked down to, children's media is elevated to bible level and people babble without pausing and talk really louDLy.

FIMfiction's moderation of comments pretty much assumes that all criticism will be rational and reasonable, and that all writers should be able to handle whatever criticism they get, even personal insults. I'm watching a talented young writer self-destruct because an SJ asshole got all his followers to spam him with comments calling him a horrible person, and even though I reported the asshole to the mods, they're doing nothing.

Edit: to be clear, I'm personally messaging the author and trying to encourage him. I'm not sure how much of an effect it's having, though.

Oh yay someone actually made this. Okay so on the writing sub group on reddit (yeah yeah I know reddit) there's this annoying douche who seems to be there ONLY to complain. "most people suck at writing , less people should write, SELF PUB IS THE DEVIL, and everyone popular is hacks who just got lucky " It's annoying as fuck and thankfully I'm not the only person to dislike him. (he fucking threw a little fit when someone posted a thing about JK Rowling "she's unbearable self congratulatory hack who got lucky." and compared her to the FIFTY SHADES LADY. Ugh)

Recently I called him out on some of his complainy shit and he looked up my comment history and then went "you write MLP fanfic so you're lower then the people who write erotica, you don't get to talk to me about writing, and then in another convo he just kept going "I don't care what you say because you write MLP fanfiction" and just stonewalling me.

It just pissed me off so much. Also it makes me super paranoid about where I comment, I HATE people looking in my comment history and bringing it up. No, that's private. I am staying anon because knowing his "people are persecuting me for being right" complex, he'd probably accuse me of something for bitching about him somewhere else. But he pisses me off so bad.

Pajiba's massive boner for Edgar Wright and their constant bitching about Ant Man has pissed me off to no end. I'm so sick of hearing about how horrible it blah blah blah is. You haven't read the script. You don't know. Shut up and give the new director a chance. UGH.

I really hate when I'm on a writing website (one I used to moderate a few years ago) and see huge grammar mistakes in the intro to an item. A few examples quoted verbatim:

-"Crossover story between me and a friend."
-"A boy, 15, deal with the emotion of being rejected by his father, with the help of a girl."
-"this is a book about the turn of the 20th century, an Irishman and a Native American girl."

I'm so used to comma splices and grocer's apostrophes that I can't always work up any rage toward them, but if you can't bring yourself to capitalize the first word of a goddamn sentence, I'm not going to read your shit. These major grammatical errors make me not want to read the pieces, which really sucks because I want to review them (if only to get the authors to correct their damn intros).
